The small version has not yet been test stitched although the large one has been stitched several times.  If you try it, please let me know how it works.

 The lines of stitching in the star are close enough to anchor scraps of thread.  This is very effective with lights behind it, as on a Christmas tree or lighted mantle.  Instruction page.
